Molecular Pathology Laboratory

Overview of Services


The Molecular Pathology Laboratory is one of the largest in the Australasian region specialising in molecular testing for cancer. The experienced multidiscipline sub-specialty teams (see below) are dedicated to the implementation of the latest technology and bioinformatics for the molecular characterisation of disease and improved outcomes for patients. The Molecular Pathology Laboratory provides a range of National Association of Testing Authorities Australia (NATA) accredited assays to researchers and clinicians at Peter Mac and other cancer centres and hospitals throughout the Asia Pacific region. In addition to the laboratory’s core business, it is an active participant in clinical and translational research including clinical trials.
